The KKR-led consortium subscribed to 41.37 million common shares, representing a 6.25-percent stake, for a total consideration of P5.2 billion. However, it shelved its offering after inking the investment deal with KKR and GIC. “We anticipate Metro Pacific Hospitals will continue to go from strength to strength alongside KKR and GIC, and we look forward to continuing our long-term partnership with the whole Metro Pacific team,” MPIC President and CEO Jose Ma. The Pangilinan-led conglomerate’s nine-month net income slipped by 5 percent to P11.8 billion from P12.49 billion the previous year from non-recurring expenses. MPIC shares dipped by 12 centavos or 3.28 percent to finish at P3.54 each on Monday.
