NEW DELHI: A social and economic boycott was enforced by villagers against ten Muslim families following hate speeches at a Hindu Sammelan held in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. “It is requested to stop any give take and eat drink with any member of the Muslim community. The group said such actions pose a serious threat to social harmony and constitutional values. Strict legal action should be taken against the guilty to restore social harmony,” the group said. Former MLA Kishore Samrite also criticised the social boycott, calling it a violation of the Constitution.
