Starehe MP Charle Kanyi, alias Jaquar, had a rough time trying to sell his candidature for the Starehe parliamentary seat. The MP, who is seeking to defend his seat on a UDA ticket, was booed on Wednesday during the UDA party campaign trail in Nairobi county that was led by deputy William Ruto. In various stopovers, specifically in Muthurwa and Ngara, the MP was treated to a rude shock as residents shouted him down. The MP was forced to rush his speech through amidst chants that were in favour of his opponent Simon Mbugua. Mbugua is seeking to vie for the seat after resigning as East African Legislative Assembly MP.
