MOMS Orange County Opens First Human Milk Collection Center in Orange CountyMOMS Orange County, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing prenatal healthcare for low-income, at-risk women, has partnered with Mothers’ Milk Bank to open the county’s first human milk collection center. The partnership between MOMS Orange County and Mothers’ Milk Bank began in 2019 with a milk drive that collected 1,000 ounces of donated breast milk. This dream was finally realized with the opening of the collection center at MOMS Orange County’s Santa Ana headquarters. Once approved, the milk is donated to MOMS Orange County, where it is stored, frozen, and shipped to Mothers’ Milk Bank for distribution. The opening of the milk collection center was celebrated alongside a lactation workshop and MOMS Orange County’s annual celebration of breastfeeding moms.
