KOTA KINABALU: Maritime officials in Labuan seized more than RM100,000 worth of beer from a speedboat following a tip-off on Saturday. "They had been tailing the speedboat for about 10 minutes when the suspects noticed our men and sped off," he said. He said the suspects ditched the speedboat when they were near the shore and fled. "Upon inspection, we found cartons of smuggled beer of various brands in the boat amounting to RM105,000," Adnan said. He said the seized beer and boat worth about RM250,000 have been brought to the Labuan maritime base for investigations.
