THE Metropolitan Manila Development Authority will be crafting its regional development plan for Metro Manila which will be aligned with the Philippine Development Plan of 2017 to 2022. Director for Metropolitan Planning Josefina Faulan said the agency was conducting consultations with various sectors to lay out policies and strategies for the development of the National Capital Region. For his part, MMDA Chairman Danilo Lim believed the implementation of the PDP would help in easing the traffic congestion in Metro Manila. He reiterated the support from Metro Manila mayors was important to ensure the plan would be integrated into the local policies and projects. The National Economic and Development Authority said 35 out of 75 infrastructure flagship projects of the Duterte administration were dedicated to Mega Manila.
