Share TweetBy Jel SantosAround 400 truckloads or 3, 018 cubic meters of trash and silt were collected by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) from Roxas Boulevard and waterways around it at least four months after the Manila Bay Rehabilitation project started. Based on the data of MMDA’s Flood Control and Sewerage Management Office (FCSMO), the collected trash and silt was from Jan. 27 to May 17. “This trash and silt could find their way to Manila Bay if not removed,” he said. The Manila Bay rehabilitation, which was launched on Jan. 27, is led by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
