Major League Baseball has, for a third time, extended the timeline on making a decision regarding any league discipline for Blue Jays pitcher Roberto Osuna, stemming from his arrest by Toronto Police on an assault charge. When a player is on administrative leave, the team can fill his roster spot and the player continues to receive pay and service time for contract purposes. If and when an MLB suspension is handed out, it can include the time the player has already served on administrative leave, but with the loss of salary and service time.
