NBA great and Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan is donating $2 million to several organizations undertaking relief and recovery efforts to Hurricane Florence victims. “As part of the Hornets’ effort to assist those affected by Hurricane Florence, Chairman Michael Jordan will be making a donation to the relief and recovery efforts,” Hornets’ announcement said. Jordan’s contribution will be in the form of $1 million each to the American Red Cross and the Foundation for the Carolinas Florence Response Fund. The Hornets are, in partnering with Fanatics on a hurricane relief T-shirt. Those T-shirts can be ordered online at hornetsfanshop.comHornets executive vice president Pete Guelli said a key element of this effort was reinforcing that Florence recovery will be a long-term process.
