PORT KLANG: The Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) hopes the government would focus on three important sectors in the 2017 Budget to boost economic growth. Its Minister, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed, said the sectors were investment and trade; small and medium enterprises (SMEs); and, exports. Also present was Chairman of Port Klang Authority, Tan Sri Kong Cho Ha. He said the focus would be given to the SME sector in the budget in line with the strategy to boost exports. “The development of the SME sector is important because it is the backbone of the economy.
