PETALING JAYA: MIC Youth chief Datuk Sivarraajh Chandran (pic) is calling for Selangor senior exco member Datuk Teng Chang Khim's resignation after his "silly mistake" in allowing the revised state’s guidelines on the construction of non-Muslim places of worship. "Although Datuk Teng has openly apologised to the public and took full responsibility, his gross mistake led to an undesired situation in having the revised guideline," said Sivarraajh in a statement on Monday. Teng took responsibility and apologised over the state's guidelines on Monday. "It shows DAP has a poor and weak leader in the Selangor state administration. At least as suggested by Datuk Teng himself, it's better for him to step down from his position," he said.
