MG gets started in New Zealand

MG's Chinese owner SAIC Motor has taken over distribution of the British brand in New Zealand and has big plans for it. Chinese-owned MG Motor has announced its first dealerships as it embarks on a relaunch into New Zealand. Locations in Christchurch, Palmerston North and Tauranga are the first to be appointed under MG parent brand SAIC Motor, which has taken over distribution of the brand in NZ. Each dealer will focus on the MG3 hatchback, just made available with an automatic transmission, and the MG ZS compact SUV. SAIC Motor is China's largest automotive company, with brands including MG, Maxus (LDV), SAIC-VW, SAIC-GM and Shanghai General Motors Wuling.
