MENA energy investments set to reach $879bn in five years: APICORP


Saudi Arabia -based Arab Petroleum Investments Corporation (APICORP), has published its MENA Energy Investment Outlook 2022-2026. In the GCC, committed projects comprise around 45 per cent of total energy investments – 50 per cent higher than the MENA-wide average of 30 per cent. Nuclear power generation in MENA remains relatively modest, comprising 3 per cent of the total generation mix in 2021, led by the UAE. Saudi Arabia and Jordan also announced their intent to add nuclear energy to their power mix during this decade. Earlier in February, APICORP issued its annual ‘Top Picks 2022′ outlook on the key trends expected to shape the MENA energy markets landscape this year.
