Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul BasitThe Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has summoned Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit following a series of continuous ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) and heavy shelling in residential areas along the International Border. Earlier, in a recent attack, at least six civilians were injured in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan in R.S. Two BSF jawans have lost their lives in cross-border firing along the Jammu International border (IB) during the past one week. The locals in Rajouri showed remains of mortar shells fired from across the border during several ceasefire violations by Pakistan. Multiple ceasefire violations have been reported along the International Border and Line of Control after India conducted surgical strikes across the border in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir to target staging areas for terrorists last month.
