Pakistan Envoy Abdul Basit has reportedly been summoned by MEA Secretary West Sujata Mehta. According to ANI's sources, Basit has been summoned over discourtesy to Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan Gautam Bambawale in Karachi. Basit has reportedly been summoned over cancellation of the Indian High Commissioner's Karachi event. MEA Spokesperson Vikas Swarup said, "Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit was summoned to MEA and was conveyed concern of Government of India on discourtesy to Indian High Commissioner. "There are problems in both India and Pakistan and you (Pakistan) should focus on resolving your problems before looking into the problems of other countries," he had said.
