MCMC blocks sayakenahack.com - Nation

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has blocked access to the website sayakenahack.com, which allowed Malaysian mobile subscribers to check if they were affected by the major personal data breach. MCMC chief operating officer Datuk Dr Mazlan Ismail said this followed an application by the Personal Data Protection Department under Section 130 of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 for unlawful collection of personal data. The website, created by tech expert Keith Rozario, was set up for the average citizen to verify if their personal details were compromised in the breach. The massive breach is believed to have happened in 2014 and involves the personal details of 46.2 million mobile subscribers in Malaysia.
