PETALING JAYA: MCA's political bureau chaired by president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong, has reached a resolution not to join nor participate in any plans by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to form a new federal government and reiterated the party's stance to give their undivided support to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to continue leading the nation. "Political stability is a prerequisite to catalyse economic growth and attract more foreign investment to Malaysia. "Therefore, it is prudent for all political parties to focus their efforts on our economic recovery and cease all political manoeuvring at the expense of the rakyat. Last week, Anwar had said that Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah had granted him an audience on Oct 13. Anwar dropped a bombshell last Sept 23, days before the Sabah state election on Sept 26, where he had claimed to have a "strong, formidable and convincing" majority to form the next government.
