A member of the Kisii County Assembly Evans Mokoro has been charged with defilement by an Ogembo Law Court.The second term MCA and former Deputy Speaker at the Kisii Assembly was charged with two counts; defilement and indecent act. In one account, the accused was charged with defiling a minor aged 16 years contrary to section 8(1)(14) of the sexual offences Act number 3 of 2006. The accused was also charged with an alternative charge of indecent act with the said minor contrary to section 11(1) of the sexual offences Act number 3 of 2006.
