He later paid the caddie $50,000 after a week of bad press and the expected social media outrage. Mickelson also kept with his theme of the week at the Masters of talking non-stop about how far he’s hitting his driver. He then referenced a Dave Pelz study that said Augusta National is the only course in the world where an increased swing speed correlates directly to lower scores.
