It's funny how even a small bit of success has changed the conversation around the Maple Leafs in Toronto. Maybe it's because the salary cap has changed how fans look at teams and there's an understanding of what adding another big salary would do. Remember, this franchise hasn't won a playoff series in the salary cap era. Yes, the Leafs defence would appear to be the biggest question over the team. For that matter, there are financial rewards outside of salary for playing in Toronto or even being associated with the Leafs.
