GEORGE TOWN: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has obtained a four-day remand order against a managing director of a public-listed property development company and a sales and marketing head of a subsidiary company to allow investigations into an alleged corruption case. Deputy registrar Ahmad Tajudin Zain granted the remand order against the 47-year-old director, who is a Datuk, and the 39-year-old woman, starting Friday. Their case is being investigated under Section 16(b)(A) of the MACC Act 2009. This is the second time the Datuk has been arrested by the MACC this year. In April, the Datuk and his 74-year-old Datuk Seri father were arrested by the MACC over their alleged involvement in a land scandal.
