ALOR SETAR: Two PKR members were arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) here on Saturday (Sept 15) for attempting to solicit a RM20,000 bribe. The 48-year-old man was arrested at 12.20pm at a restaurant in Alor Setar on Saturday while the 46-year-old man at 3.25pm at the Pendang Toll Plaza along the North-South Expressway. Kedah MACC director Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohamad confirmed the arrests of the two men. In ALOR SETAR, the duo arrived at the court complex at 9.45am Sunday (Sept 16) and were escorted by MACC officers to the courtroom. Magistrate Mohd Hadi Hakimi Harun granted a remand order for the duo until Sept 21.
