I confess: I may have sneaked in a cheeky glass or three of vino on my way to the renowned health resort of Chiva-Som in Thailand. It wasn’t just that “day before the diet” thing — cram it in now because you’ll miss it later — but more to encourage sleep on the 11-hour overnight flight to Bangkok, you understand. Insomnia — not just on planes — is part of my problem.
