A luxury hotel near Ripon has been shortlisted for an award that will name the best hotel in the UK. Grantley Hall has been named among the finalists in the ‘Best UK Hotel’ category by the Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards. The awards, which are now in their tenth year, aim to recognise the best destinations, airlines, cruise lines, hotels and travel companies. Last year, more than 270,000 votes were cast for 120 destinations and companies to find the very best in the business. Among the other finalists is Callow Hall in Derbyshire, The Retreat at Elcot Park in Berkshire and Birch in Hertfordshire.
