By DAVID KWALIMWAMore by this AuthorKenya Prisons coach David Lung’aho says he is not keen on facing north African teams in the early stages of 2018 Women’s Africa Club Volleyball Championship in Egypt. Prisons and local champions Kenya Pipeline will represent the country at the 10-day continental championship which serves off in Egypt on Tuesday. A record attendance comprising 20 other clubs - including four from the North of Africa - have also confirmed participation in the event whose draw will be conducted Monday afternoon. Lung’aho - who boasts seven club continental titles - seems keen to pick his early battles, even though he is powerless on deciding whom he will eventually play. Al Ahly have won the title twice, while Algeria’s Petroliers and Tunisia’s Carthage lifted the title in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
