(File photo)Three occupants have escaped a two-car crash along a stretch of Taranaki highway with minor injuries. Officers were called to the intersection of State Highway 3 and Airport Dr, Bell Block, at 6pm on Friday after two cars collided. A police spokesperson said one car was blocking the southbound lane and it took about 40 minutes before traffic was freely flowing again. The Airport Dr intersection is renowned for crashes and sits within the stretch of State Highway 3, between New Plymouth to Waitara, that has seen 12 people died in the last decade.
