A report in a magazine last week insinuating foul play in Loya's death had triggered a controversy and raised demands for a probe into the circumstances surrounding his death. The report quoted members of Loya's family purportedly saying they were not convinced about the sequence of events.Anuj's statement will help douse the row. Rebutting the report, Justice Gavai, who was present in Nagpur on the day Loya died, told TOIon Tuesday that the latter had complained of chest pain and was taken to hospital. In fact, even (former Bombay HC) chief justice Mohit Shah was informed about the death.
