A low-pressure system formed over the Bay of Bengal could develop into a cyclone, says the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The impact of the low pressure is expected to bring increased rainfall by Wednesday, which could last for two to three days, reports bdnews24.com. If the low pressure transforms into a cyclone, it will be named 'Dana,' a name proposed by Qatar, meaning 'a very beautiful and valuable pearl' in Arabic. It may move towards the coasts of Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, or West Bengal. Earlier, Cyclone Remal hit the Bangladesh coast and West Bengal on May 26, causing widespread devastation and claiming 76 lives across both Bangladesh and India.
