Low Covid testing rates in western Sydney blamed on failure to get message to migrant communities

Western Sydney community leaders have blamed low Covid-19 testing rates on the government’s failure to get key health messages out to migrant communities. NSW Health had produced more than 1,000 resources, translated into 53 languages, and that local health districts had established “community working groups” to help address challenges, the spokesperson said. “We’re taking our own initiatives to help spread the message, of getting tested and of the testing locations themselves. She said her constituents were very community centred, a link that could prove essential in getting key health advice out.
