A builder was murdered by a gang armed with swords, knives and a hammer who chopped off two of his fingers as part of a feud between warring Sikhs, a court has been told. Sukhjinder Singh, 28, who was also known as Gurinder or Guri, was stabbed, slashed and bludgeoned 48 times by a masked group travelling in two cars, who ambushed him in Southall, west London. He had been caught up in violent confrontations between rival factions of young Sikh men across the country, the Old Bailey was told.
