The “radical” stepped hull kept the boat on a nearly parallel plane with the water. When Dan bought this boat, I was not very accustomed to stepped hull boats. At first, it took a while to adjust to the stepped hull. Before long, I anticipated the feel of the hull when we reached speeds that moved the placement of the water under the hull. Dan, Tim and I whooped and raised our arms when we moved out of the channel and headed for open water.
