Nine firefighters along with several members of the public were scouring the west Auckland bush for a missing husky on Christmas morning. The young husky, named Artie, had been out for a walk with its owner at Kakamatua Inlet — a dog-friendly beach in Cornwallis — said chief fire officer Steven Laloli, of the Huia fire brigade. "It was a city dog, it didn't know the area and must have just been following its nose and got lost," he said. SUPPLIED Fire crews from Titirangi and Huia joined the search for the lost husky.
