Police were alerted to a pair lost in The Pinnacles in Coromandel overnight (file photo). After a night spent lost in the craggy terrain of Coromandel, a couple of trampers emerged from the bush before dawn. Police were alerted to a pair lost in The Pinnacles, in Kauaeranga Valley, shortly after 8pm on Tuesday. Land Search and Rescue located the German couple at midnight, Waikato police Senior Sergeant Pete Simpson said. The couple managed to walk out of the track shortly after 4am on Wednesday.
