BUTTERWORTH: A 34-year-old lorry driver was fined RM2,000 by the magistrate's court here today for refusing to stop his vehicle despite being ordered to do so by policemen last Friday. He had failed to stop his trailer lorry at KM129 of the expressway after a policemen from a patrol car ordered him to do so. When Firdaus asked Nazril why he did not stop his vehicle, he replied that he was in a hurry. Firdaus ordered Nazril to undergo two months' jail if he did not settle the fine. A one-minute video showing Nazirul driving his lorry from left to right dangerously and refusing to stop his vehicle even after the police officers had asked him to do so, went viral this week.
