(CNN) In Memphis, Lorenzen Wright was a favorite son. He grew up there and was a star basketball player in high school and at the University of Memphis. The Lorenzen Wright slaying became Memphis' most famous cold case. Wright's ex-wife, Sherra Wright-Robinson, 46, was taken into custody in Riverside, California, and charged with conspiring with a Memphis-area man to kill her former husband. Wright, who had six children, completed his degree at the University of Memphis in 2003, according to the NBA's website.
