Lorde has been hailed for her "bold and brilliant" Glastonbury debut. The Kiwi singer songwriter took the stage at the legendary British music festival, being headlined by Foo Fighters, Ed Sheeran and Radiohead. Lorde, real name Ella Yelich-O'Connor, took to the stage by herself, her band hidden away in the wings. "And here she was, colliding with the most anticipated Glastonbury headliner in years, dancing in a box on Glastonbury's Other Stage," the review said. The Telegraph said despite this verging on "amateur dramatics" at times, "it is a bold and brilliant thing to make one's Glastonbury debut with the gall Yelich-O'Connor deployed".
