Lorde lends Grammy to museum exhibit

Lorde will lend the Grammy she won for her hit song 'Royals' to an Auckland Museum exhibition. We're talking, of course, about Lorde, aka Ella Yelich-O'Connor, who won the "Best Pop Solo Performance 2013" Grammy for her all-conquering song Royals. Along with her prized Grammy, Lorde has also lent the Auckland Museum's upcoming Volume: Making Music in Aotearoa exhibition the outfit she wore during her Grammy performance, which famously includes her Takapuna Grammar school shoes. The interactive exhibition, which opens on Friday October 28, will include more than 200 objects that have played a significant part in the history of our popular music. This decade-by-decade journey through New Zealand's popular music history will be free to attend and is an absolute must for music fans.
