Lord Rothermere will become the chief executive of the Daily Mail group after taking the publisher private in December. Paul Zwillenberg will be stepping down as chief executive of the Daily Mail and General Trust (DMGT) after a six-year tenure that saw the group take over the i newspaper and New Scientist magazine. Lord Rothermere, who is already chairman of the Daily Mail, takes on the additional role from September 30.
