The University of Regina Rams’ playoff hopes went from slim to none Friday when they lost 58-6 to the University of Calgary Dinos at McMahon Stadium. Regina won its first game after the sanction was imposed, only to fall in Calgary one week later. Regina was forced to start a true freshman, Josh Donnelly, at quarterback due to injuries to Noah Picton and Seb Britton. Seb Britton, who quarterbacked the Rams to a 32-17 victory over the visiting University of Alberta Golden Bears on Oct. 12, was hurt in that game and could not play in Calgary. The Rams are to complete their season Friday, 7 p.m., against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies at Mosaic Stadium.
