Many housing construction projects have been delayed due to the series of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) lockdowns and their delivery will be postponed by several months. With the purchasing power of Filipino homebuyers having been diminished by the detrimental effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, this looming development will further lessen their housing choices and undermine their capability to purchase decent residential units. SHDA Chairman Raphael Felix believes this will only widen the gap between housing demand and supply. According to TGFI President Floi Wycoco, the event aims to promote financial literacy in support of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ advocacy to improve the well-being of every Filipino.
