Looking at criticism positivelyLately, President Rodrigo Duterte has been the object of criticisms from the US President Barack Obama and the UN Commission on Human Rights about reported extrajudicial killings and other violations of human rights taking place in the Philippines. * * *In an effort to justify his action, President Duterte fights back and tries to silence his critics with counter-attacks. Against President Obama, President Duterte said that the American soldiers were no better in upholding human rights during the US military intervention which resulted in massacres of civilians, like the 1906 Bud Dajo massacre. * * *This is true also in the celebrated clash of the President against Senator Leila de Lima who exposed and accused President Duterte of creating the Davao Death Squad. If the accusations are not true and baseless, we should not worry because they will eventually die down.
