Speaking at midday angelus prayers in St Peter’s Square yesterday, the 83-year-old, who has harnessed modern technology to spread the message of the Gospel, praised the Holy Family of Nazareth for praying, working and communicating together. “And I ask myself: You, in your family, do you know how to communicate or are you like those kids at table, each one with their mobile phone, busy chatting?” the Pope said. He added: “At that table there is the kind of silence that you might find at Mass. But they don’t communicate with one another.
