You’ll have the chance of seeing a shooting star streak across the sky overnight tonight thanks to the peak of the Geminid meteor shower. In perfect viewing conditions, dozens of meteors can be seen each hour when looking upward from the Northern Hemisphere. The shower peaks after midnight, with prime viewing around 2 a.m. Tuesday morning. Clear sky conditions can improve your chances of seeing a meteor.
