Homelessness had gotten worse for years; 2018 was the year when progress on solutions began to catch up with the growth of the problem. In the world, 2018 saw its share of turmoil but also some very bright spots. Ethiopia and Eritrea ended their state of war, one of the longest in duration in the world. Even beyond our planet, 2018 brought amazing news. The relentless progress of technology in these and countless other fields will advance the human condition during the new year.
