Former Wellington city councillor Ruth Gotlieb has passed away at 96. Prominent Wellingtonian Ruth Gotlieb has died. LUCY SWINNEN/STUFF Having the Kilbirnie Library named after her, was considered by Gotlieb to be her favourite achievement. Wellington City Council named its library in Kilbirnie the Ruth Gotlieb Library in 2000 to recognise her outstanding contribution to library services.
