A series of stabbings took place in the Croydon area of London last night, the Metropolitan police have confirmed. One man is dead and nine others have been injured amid a spate of stabbings in London. Officers were called to five reports of stabbings in the Croydon area of south London between 6.56pm and 9.12pm on Friday, police said. We are investigating four non-fatal stabbings last night; two in #Croydon, one in #Streatham and one in #Chislehurst. A section 60 order granting police additional stop and search powers was in place across Croydon until 8am on Saturday, Det Supt Nicky Arrowsmith said.
