London police are warning the public about a pair of culprits distracting women in parking lots and trying to steal from them. March 19 at about 5 p.m. a woman was approached by the pair at the plaza on the corner of Oxford Street and Highbury Avenue. Police said a Middle-Eastern couple approached a female shopper to ask for directions to the hospital. In both cases, a female suspect engaged in conversation with the victims, placed jewelry on them, then while removing that jewelry, attempted to slip away with the victims' personal jewelry as well. Police said they could be driving a four-door vehicle in a dark colour, possibly a dark silver.
