12:53Glastonbury festival has announced extra security measures following the attacks in Manchester and Borough Market, urging festival-goers to pack as little as possible. All those attending the festival in Somerset’s Worthy Farm in two weeks will be subject to extra searches of their vehicles and bags as they enter. The organisers warned that the queues would be longer and the entrance would be slower as a result of the tightened security measures. “We encourage you to pack as light as you can,” said an announcement on the festival website. Remember, you can buy pretty much anything you need here on site.”
