PETALING JAYA: Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam has called on Umno members to rally in solidarity with president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who is expected to be charged on Friday (Oct 19). Lokman said Dr Ahmad Zahid is expected to be charged the following day. He claims that the rally is to defend Dr Ahmad Zahid who has become the target of Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's regime. While speculation is rife that Dr Ahmad Zahid will be arrested, MACC officials are tight-lipped on the issue. Dr Ahmad Zahid is the chairman of the foundation set up by his family to help eradicate poverty and provide for an Islamic education.
