Sitting MP from Patna Sahib Shatrughan Sinha on Sunday had to face a minor protest at his new political home—the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) headquarters—when a section of party workers questioned him about his perennial absence from the constituency. A handful of alleged workers of the party shouted slogans against Sinha and urged Congress president Rahul Gandhi to replace the candidate. Sinha arrived at the BPCC office to interact with the district level party workers and discuss his election plans. Congress leaders, however, refused to recognise the enraged workers and said that they might have been planted by the BJP, Sinha’s previous party, which he has been critical of on multiple occasions. Addressing the party leaders, Sinha said he was never elusive and always remained accessible to the people.
